Yup, you heard that right! This year we will have a few bus trips in October. Milton Schnare has graciously agreed to be our driver for these trips in October. Give him a bunch of thanks and some generous tips for offering to help us out!! Since we have fewer people in October, we are sharing all these trips with Trophy Gardens. There will be 22 seats on our side of the bus.
October 3rd, Sandcastle Days at Clayton’s Beach in South Padre (free)
1 PM Leave for Sandcastle days
5:30 PM Dinner on your own at Dirty Al’s on South Padre
Since we won’t be in Texas yet to sign people up for this trip, signup will be directly after the Park Meeting on September 23rd and then in the Business Office until we arrive. We will be in the Activity Office for sure by October 1st.

October 8th, National Butterfly Center ($5 with your park badge)
9 AM Leave for the National Butterfly Center
This is not a guided tour which would cost more but there will be a person from the Center to help you identify butterflies or to answer any other questions you might have.
12:15 PM Lunch on your own at Cracker Barrel in McAllen
They will have you all in the same area at a couple of tables of six and the rest at tables of four. You can order off the menu. Their special for the day will be Turkey and Dressing with sides for $5.99.
We will start registering for these seats on September 30th after the park meeting at 11 AM. We need to collect $5 in advance. We have 22 seats for this trip.

October 16th – Sunset Cruise on the Rio Grande River ($10)
4:30 PM Dinner on your own at Riverside Club in Mission
Near sunset – Sunset Cruise on the Riverside Dreamer
We need a minimum of 20 on the boat for this trip to be a go!
