We had a great time at the Senior Prom tonight. When we arrived, Lee Clement took some Photo Op pictures of each of the couples that wanted to have their pictures taken. Here are the Photo Op Pictures.

The Chaparones tonight (Mary and Lee Benfield, Activity Directors) – they made sure no one spiked the punch or danced too close. You know, they were just pains in the butt – all in the name of fun though!

CHUCK WAGON CREW
Don Lubitz, Jim Thomas, Jeanie Lubitz, Bev Nicholson , Linda Thomas and Norm Nicholson – Our Dance Concession Crew
We had a punch bowl set up in the hall for everyone tonight and the Chuck Wagon had some special items tonight. Along with popcorn and ice cream, we served cheese sticks with marinara sauce, mini cheesecakes and cream puffs and eclairs. It kept our crew busy! Thanks much to all of them as they’ve been manning the Chuck Wagon for all of our dances with Jim and Linda Thomas being the Coodinators.
We invited all the couples that wanted to be the King and Queen or part of the Court to come forward. Fifteen couples came forward. We gave them step forward. They were given a number from 1 to 15.
Each of the couples came forward so that we could select the winning Court.
Lois and Leon Green
Everyone was given a ballot afterward to vote for their favorites. Then at second Intermission we crowned the winners.
We also had a fun game led by Art and Julie Abegg at the first intermission. Any couples that wanted to participate came forward. The prize for the winner was a $30 Gift Certificate from the Texas Roadhouse. The picture of this aren’t too great because it was a pretty active game and they were moving all the time. Couples were positioned across from each other. The women started the game by placing an orange under their necks. They had to carry the orange without holding it with their hands under their chin and then transport it across the room to their partner. Then they had to transfer the orange to their partner without using their hands and he had to get back into position without dropping the orange. It was quick but wild!

The Winning Couple
The winning couple was a guest from the Alamo Country Club
This was taken after it was over. He dashed across the floor so fast with his orange, we couldn’t get a picture!
The King and Queen and Court Are Announced
A couple from the Country Club were Crowned King and Queen
He had a white sport coat and a pink carnation and we loved watching her dress swish as they twirled around the dance floor!
Don and Linda Thompson had the next amount of votes and were part of the Court
